All right, Clones…I apologize once again for delaying the conclusion of this extended fisking…other matters have been on my mind of late. I suppose that I’d better finish this before it gets delayed into 2020. Once again, you can find the original source article here.

So now, our fearless reporter decides to focus his attention on the supposed aftereffects of sex and/or sexual arousal, in particular the neurological impacts of sexual stimulation on the average human brain. This is his adjunct to the theory so loved by antiporn activists that the strong sexual stimulation forced by porn acts like a massive drug to scramble neurons and otherwise upset the basic balance between self-control and “addiction”. While Cameron doesn’t quite endorse the radical antiporn stance that porn acts as an “erotoxin” more powerful and more addictive than crack cocaine, he nevertheless lends his support to the “porn is a drug” theory.
Of course, merely having sex without porn would release the same endorphins, as well as reacting to a sunny day, a good jog, an excellent workout, scoring the winning touchdown that wins your team the Super Bowl, etc., etc., blah, blah…..so why is it that Cameron focuses his attention on one mere aspect of endorphin release?? Also, not all porn will release the same kind of endorphins, it has to be the kind of porn that connects with one’s deepest inner fantasies. Bad porn or porn that doesn’t meet one’s tastes would more than likely result in the desire to hit the delete button or change the channel.
And this notion of “people watching porn will just need a bigger hit later on to keep the same high” is just plain old “gateway”/”stepping stone”/”slippery slope” bullshit. Were that be the case, then not only would everyone be hooked on the most extreme forms of porn, but people would not last a month after going from Playboy nude pictorals all the way to Max Hardcore-style hardcore, straight to snuff films and open pedophilia. Considering that most sane people’s porn tastes end at consenting adults, I just can’t see the merit of the “slippery slope” theory.
Also…how nice of Cameron to compare natural human physical pleasure with psychotoc disorders and assume that people who regularly consume porn are by their nature lacking in “self-control”. Gee, Cameron…does that include you, whom have probably seen more hardcore porn in the making of this essay than most people will ever see in their lifetime??
In the late 1990s, the psychiatric profession was talking about making Internet addiction a disorder. And, they did. Sexual addiction already is a disorder that is extremely difficult to overcome. Porn directly attenuates the imagination. It is described as a powerful addiction by literally hundreds of thousands of people on the Internet that would like to stop watching but can’t. It has a strong effect and the more you watch, and the more graphic it is, the more control it has on a person.
Internet addiction, of course, is as much a problem as any other form of compulsion or addiction that may compromise a person’s ability to live their lives. But, to assume that merely watching porn (or for that matter, soap operas or sports or religious broadcasting) on a more than regular basis automatically makes someone an “addict” worthy of needing psychiatric treatment is simply conjecture at best, and repression at worst. Watching people have consensual pleasurable sex shouldn’t have any more “compulsion” than watching Kobe Bryant sink a three-pointer in Dwayne Wade’s face, or seeing Drew Brees lay a perfect pass to Reggie Bush in the flat which results in a long broken field run for a touchdown….unless you happen to believe that the NFL or the NBA should be as marked as causing addiction as Rowe appears to want porn to be categorized.
Well, gee, Cameron…what you felt when watching Ginger Lynn or Nicole Sheridan was simple natural lust at the sight of watching professional performers engaging in sex that they liked. (And…what about the MEN they performed with, Cameron?? Or..are you afraid that that would show just a touch of homoeroticism, which would tarnish your “objectivity”??) Also, one man’s “fake” performance is another man’s favorite turn-on; you just can’t make overall prejudgments based solely on personal likes and dislikes.
And as for this “women should do what they want, not what they are comfortable with” nonsense….funny, but I thought that Cameron believed that it should be up to women themselves to test their boundaries and seek the porn that they like? But, he would then come down on them like a ton of bricks for suggesting that they may like the kind of sex portrayed in porn that might not be so “politically correct”?? I don’t really think that women who are into porn would appreciate a man telling them what they should like or dislike, anyway.
And…oh, pullleeeeeze on this roundhouse statement: “Porn, as a work, perverts the beauty of human sexuality.” Really, Cameron?? I mean, isn’t porn by its own definiition the explicit portrayal of human sexuality?? Would Cameron prefer classic romance novels or cheesy Hollywood “kiss-kiss” love scenes as more representative of “the norms of human sexuality”?? Hate to break this to you, Sparky, but in real live sex, people moan, people groan, and people come.
Other distortions include breast size, since a lot are fake, and penis size. In human sexuality, four inches can please a woman. Also, feeling a man ejaculate inside a woman is impossible for most women so that is trickery. The vagina becomes warm during sex so feeling ejaculate, which isn’t as warm, is nearly impossible. And, ejaculating outside the vagina is actually harmful to a man’s sexuality. A little is a good thing but a lot is a bad thing as they old saying goes. Porn’s preoccupation with anal sex really denoted, to me, a homosexual experience. Most real women don’t find it appealing or pleasurable. Neither do men. The excessive use of tattoos was humorous.
Oh, so now Cameron Rowe becomes an expert in sexology?? “Four inches can please a woman”??? WTF is that?? Two inches (using fingers and tongues) can also please a woman, too..who even needs a dick?? Hell, some women can use an artificial dick (as in a dildo or a vibrator) to please themselves in the absence of a real live cock…why isn’t Cameron dissing masturbation or girl/girl videos with the same intensity??
Of course, the dicks in porn are as enhanced as the breasts in most women performers are (but not all of them!!! Isn’t alt.porn and naturally busty an reaction to the artificial rack dominance, just as there is a subset in porn for people who like unshaved pubes??); but that’s part of the sexual charge that most consumers in porn get from seeing large breasts or large dicks. And…how stupid of Cameron to dismiss anal sex as merely a “homosexual experience”…as if women who like anal either don’t exist or are mere liars!! “Real women” don’t like anal??? Someone send that man a Tristian Taormino video…STAT!!!
———————————————————————————————————————————————-
Finally, Cameron gets to the tricky subject of whether porn sex is faked or genuine. And here, he is at his most insane in his attempt to read female orgasms. This is too damn funny, so I’ll just post it and let you analyze at home.
Ohhhhh-kay, so one bad scene by one particular actress (and gee, Cameron sure has a thing against Shy Love, doesn’t he…what the hell did she do him??) indicts the entire porn industry for faking female orgasms?? Riiight. I really wish that Rowe would say that nonsense to someone like Nina Hartley, whom in the course of her illustrious (and still ongoing) 27-year career, has physically induced and performed in thousands of real female orgasms. (And, probably have faked a couple as well due to time pressures.) And how in the hell would he know whether or not the women were “enjoying it”?? Does he somehow have a secret radar that can tell the difference in facial expression between an orgasm and pain?? And..how does he know that the “pain” wasn’t somewhat acting, too??
And, just wait a damn minute here….last time I checked, breast implants did not affect the sensation of a woman’s nipple, so how in the hell could Cameron say that women with “real breasts” (uhhh, hello, Cameron…ALL breasts are real even when they are enhanced with implants!) lose their sensation during an orgasm??
Ahhhh….no, Cameron…you are so off base here. First off, the attractiveness quality of porn men have improved greatly due to accessibility and the destigmatization and because the women performers demand a higher quality. Secondly, these men aren’t neccessarily hired because of their good looks, but because they are able to get hard, stay hard for the balance of the shoot, and blow out on cue when the director deems it. And, the reason why shoots are so long has more to do with getting enough material for the editing, as well as shooting both the hardcore (for DVD) and softcore (for cable) as well as the stills.
As for his low opinion of The Hedgehog…well, I sorely hope Cameron’s nowhere around when Jeremy hears about this. Most of the women who fucked Jeremy would probably beg to differ that he was “the bottom of the barrel”.
Some of the women in porn have horrible breast implants since you can see the scars. Guess some use the worst plastic surgeons they could find. One of the things I did notice was that amateur porn was just as popular. Mainly because it was real people not professionals. A lot had too much makeup on. It was caked on. How does one’s hair remain so perfect in some videos, and makeup, during the acrobatic sex they have? I won’t name names though some female performers actually had me laughing watching the ordinary machinations of oral sex then intercourse then anal sex. No wonder Shy Love can write scripts and direct. No offense to Shy Love but her performances were so unrealistic they did make me chuckle. Sue me.
Can you please get off Shy Love, please?? It’s not her fault that she might have had one bad day and performed one bad scene.
And, if you are going to smear Ms. Love’s good name, then why be such a chickenhead and not name the other performers that you find wanting in their skills??

Finally, we reach the conclusion of this epic voyage through Cameron’s porn tour. I’ll just post what he said and leave it at that.
Actually, VIVID didn’t release all their contract people, they just let some contract people go and signed a few others. Actually, AIM did NOT disappear; it is now reborn as a private clinic. And actually, while there have been attempts to strike back at tube sites and Bit Torrent app sites and forums that allow P2P sharing of illegally pilfered adult videos (see Vicky Vette’s ongoing battle with RapidShare and Perfect 10′s battle with everyone else), the issue of free downloading and piracy remains a threat to everyone’s profits, big company or small home website.
There may be issues to handle and the industry may yet evolve as it has done for the last century…but one thing will remain abundantly clear: As long as men have dicks that get hard and women have clits and vaginas that get moist at the sight of people having sex, there will always be a market for pornography. No business model or government bureaucratic scheme can or will ever be able to control or even tame a man or woman’s desire for sex.
Especially not an amateur so-called “journalist” named Cameron Rowe.
C’est Fini’.
————————————————————————————————————————————————————-
Well…actually, not quite.
After getting roundly criticized and debunked by people like Julie Meadows, most of the work he practically stole for his earlier “expose” on Shelley Lubben, Cameron promised in a response that he would extend his article to include even more proof about the evil of porn. This is the full post of what he promised (on Christmas Eve of last year):
Porn Uncensored – The Full Article to be Released
I will be releasing the Uncensored version. It will include a veteran male porn star that said, “I do porn so I can f@#$ all the women that wouldn’t date me or give me a second look in high school”. His name will be there.
I will also tell exactly what goes on during a porn shoot. Kinda wonder if the authorities will be interested in the violations of laws regarding…you’ll have to wait.
And, I’ll air some dirty laundry about some production houses. Not Vivid but others. Female porn stars hate it on the set. Why?
And, what does staff think of a porn star? You’ll find out.
Also, let’s blow the lid on the prostitution in porn. It’ll be fun. I’ll tell what some porn stars are willing to do for money. And, maybe some names will be dropped.
Also, did Sharon Mitchell of AIM give a damn about rape on a porn set being reported to AIM? We’ll see.
I told you I held some things back. Now, I’m not going to. There’s more.
Look for “Porn: Uncensored”. Back to writing.
Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your point of view), we will never get to see the latest results of Cameron Rowe’s journalistic endeavors, because one month later, he basically chickened out and deep-sixed his budding expose. In its place, he posted a nice long ramble in which he basically reset all the old talking points against porn, and lobbed some very personal insults at various professionals.
I’ll spare you most of the pontification, and simply focus on Cameron’s assault on one particular woman performer — the former Julie Meadows (now Lydia Lee).
Julie Meadows affected me. Affected me most of all. She thinks it is over but it isn’t. She’s really still in because maybe that’s all she knows. She’s smart and could’ve been something else and extremely successful at it. What hit me about her was that I believe she knows she had other choices and past them up for maybe what she thought was the easiest decision. Jameson wouldn’t recommend a porn career to anyone unless they are a strong person. Jameson came with baggage; never read Julie did. If she did, I don’t know.
[...]
It isn’t easy money at all. If you do porn, television and Hollywood isn’t going to come calling. You’re meat. You’re some person’s fantasy. You’re some person someone got off to or get turned on. You’re some person that did the most intimate of acts for the camera for anyone to see. That is your legacy. It is that simple for a porn star. I’m sure Meadows and others will twist that into something else like “I was empowered” or “I live a nice life” or some other banality of indifference. They can’t escape the fact that the only reason porn exists is so viewers can get off or get turned on. You have that life, if you didn’t lose it all like some, if not a lot, of porn stars do, is that more people got off or got turned on watching you spread your legs for whatever guy they put you with. Not a legacy I’d want for a daughter. Jenna said she’d lock her daughter in the closet if she decided to do porn.
Oh, brother!!!
Dude…dude…you are seriously on some bad crack and headed straight toward quicksand. How the HELL do you know what sort of baggage Julie Meadows (or Jenna Jameson, or Sasha Grey, for that matter) have, and what gives you the fucking right to dictate to them what their feelings should be on being in porn?? Are you that much of a seesthsayer that you can predict their future?? Have you swallowed Andrea Dworkin/Shelley Lubben talking points so much that you are incapable of respecting free will and autonomy??
It is not your business, Cameron Rowe, to dictate to adult women whether they feel “empowered” or endangered by whatever they see fit to do with their bodies. If they say that they were empowered, then that should be good enough for anyone. They are ADULTS capable of making their own decisions; and while you might not like their decisions, unless you happen to be their closest relatives, it is probably best to simply respect their right to make informed decisions. Or..just SYAD, STFU, and MYOB.
Or..just keep talking and bear the wrath of an independent woman unleashing her full fury on your ass. See if I care.
NOW…it’s C’est Fini.
