New Year, New Blog (Sort Of)..Same Old SmackDog
Blog Updates/Notes, Personal Navel Gazing January 6th, 2010
OK….so 2009 is gone and 2010 is here.
Hopefully your holidays were full of fun and joy, and like me, am ready to get the new decade kicked off with style.
Unfortunately, I have to do so without the blog that I’ve been hosting for the past three years….and not by choice either.
The problem was that my original domain (ajkenn-rgclub.com) got hacked into more than one time, and that was enough for my former bloghost Bluehost to pull the plug on my account. So, although I was able to archive and back up most of my files, I can’t get back to retrieve my posts from there….so, I’m afraid that they are probably lost forever.
Fortunately for me, I signed up with a new web hosting service (HostGator.com) and with a new domain, though I will still attempt to switch my other domain over as a means of retrieving my data.
Until then, I will be slowly and painfully and manually attempting to retrieve old posts and transferring them, as well as all my blogroll, my cats, and my other pages, over here. Just bear the construction here, folks.
There is still the Blogger version of the SmackChron still available (even though I haven’t updated that one in about a year) if you want some refreshers.
Other than that…it’s good to be back.
